Lemon Diet Recipe

A lemon detox diet has captured the world in its stride and the trend is widely set with the Hollywood stars shedding 10 to 15 pounds after following the course. It is a very attractive proposition for one, since it is a diet which one needs to follow for only a span of ten days.

The lemonade diet is one in which one needs to drink a lemon based concoction for ten days several times a day. One does not need to consume any solid food for that recommended period. However, it is important that one reads all the instructions and details before delving into the diet. Advice from a medical practitioner is also a must. The basic thing which one needs to know is the lemon diet recipe.

The lemon diet recipe has to be made with the following ingredients:

• 2 tablespoons or juice of ½ a lemon needs to be used. It is advisable to squeeze the lemon freshly each time vis-a- vis making a whole day’s supply since lemon juice gets spoilt in a span of eight hours. Canned lemon juices cannot be used since it devoid of all the nutrients. The body needs to consume the nutrients of the lemon, since for ten days that’s the only intake by the body. Organic lemons are preferable. Lemons are a natural detoxifier and the quality of the same should not be compromised on.
• 2 table spoons of Grade B Maple Syrup are required. Moreover, this type of maple syrup should not be confused with the ones used for commercial use for instance on pan cakes since they are different. Moreover, other alternatives of maple syrup should not be used it would conflict with one’s purpose wanting to loss weight.
• A pinch of powdered cayenne pepper is needed. It is one of the best healing herbs in the world and its importance should not be undermined. It helps in increase of immunity and metabolism, stimulation of blood flow, increasing the effectiveness of digestive system and various other activities. Cayenne pepper at times proves to be a bit harsh for some people in their drink, but it is essential to consume it for colon cleansing. Moreover ground cayenne pepper is a better bet.
• Distilled and filtered water in a glass which can take upto a capacity of 8- 10 ounces of water.

The above mentioned lemon diet recipe is for a single serving. This drink needs to be consumed at least six to ten times a day. The mantra which needs to be followed is that the lemon concoction should be consumed when one is hungry!

There are various advantages which come along with the intake of the lemon concoction and thus following the lemon detox diet:
